Time is the Brake

Time is the (ultimate) Brake
(That) Consciousness has to Make
Entropy just Runs (along its) Away
Leading Grass turning to Hay
Our Universe seemingly Expands
Viewing with dexterous Hands
Snapshots of the cosmic Dance
(Accidental) witnesses to sheer Chance
The wonders of our (Universal) Place
Albeit (a) Minuscule human Race
Unique amongst the (Zillions of) Stars
Hidden by (Saturn,) Jupiter and Mars
Heaven and Hell (we have) created Here
Let's celebrate life and (make a) Cheer!

Running Out

Space-Time is a sure running Out
We've done our best Throughout
Although nagging haunting Doubt

No user guide shoved into Plight
Illusion of forever future Might
Occasionally glimpsed in Sight

The end of the conveyor Belt
Like ice finishing its Melt
Have you ever wondered of Felt

What the Famous like us are Dealt
Their allotted limited Time-Span
Mortal like you and me, no Plan

So many we've met and Been
Until our karmic vision Seen
A bardo state betwixt Between

How many knew they'd die Today
Those dreams in a way did Betray
Such busyness distracted Away

From their natural Inheritance
Was it all just one bid chance
In samsara's eternal Dance

The Chase

Chasing perfection in an Imperfect World
We pine for this and that to satisfy Emotion
Knowing these dream carrots ne'er Unfold
Keeps us going this hope amongst Commotion
Stability and safety we all do seek and Seeing
Briefest moments satisfy that struggle Again
Forgetting that it really only lies within Being
Rest in Natural Great Peace to relieve such Pain

Witnessess

A dance of transient illusory Forms
You and I through Thunderstorms
And Sunny Skies spinning Away
On Earth we were once Prey
But now we dominate for Brief
Times but eventually to Grief
Part of the whole Universe
With in itself does Converse
Could just gentle row our Boat
Knowing we are ones so Remote
Amongst trillions of Stars we Ride
Infinitely in space no where to Hide
From inevitable changes that Life
Witnesses to this flickering Rife
When it all has exhausted and Gone
Will Mind's Nature jump Along?
